How to practise it

  1. Each beat is long-short-short: 'da-ga-da, da-ga-da'.
  2. With fingers, use index-middle-index; with a pick, down-up-down. Keep it tight to the drums.
  3. Rest the side of your plucking hand on the strings near the bridge for a punchier, muted sound.
  4. Start at 80 BPM. Only speed up when you can play it cleanly three times in a row — the goal is 150 BPM.
