How to practise it

  1. Use your index finger for fret 5 and your ring or pinky finger for frets 7 and 8.
  2. Say the root note (A) out loud each time you play it — it's on strings 6, 4 and 1.
  3. Once it's smooth, start on the high string and play it downwards first.
  4. Start at 60 BPM. Only speed up when you can play it cleanly three times in a row — the goal is 140 BPM.
