The grip is read string by string from G to A: the fret to press, 0 for an open string.

The easiest way to play them

A♭ is 5343 (3 fingers), G♯m is 4342 and A♭7 is 1023. With only four strings, most ukulele chords need one to three fingers, and a chord with more notes than strings simply leaves one out — usually the 5th, which the ear fills in. A barre means laying the index finger flat across the strings at one fret — easier on a ukulele than on a guitar, as the strings are soft and few.
